The 2010 Kentucky Derby winner: Super Saver
Super Saver's final time was 2:04.45 on a sloppy track. Calvin Borel deftly tucked Super Saver along the rail Saturday on a track turned into creamy peanut butter by heavy rain.
Super Saver and Jockey Calvin Borel take Kentucky Derby 136. Super Saver got a perfect trip under Calvin Borel, rating off a torrid early pace before squeezing through on the rail at the top of the stretch.

Belmont Stakes 142 Odds Here -
Bet Belmont Track Horse Betting Here
The Belmont Stakes is called the "Run for the
Carnations" because of the blanket of white
carnations that are draped over the winner's neck. Because of its
length (one lap around the enormous Belmont main track)
and because it is the final race of the Triple Crown, it is
called the "Test of the Champion".
Most three-year-olds are unaccustomed to the distance, and lack
the experience, if not the
ability, to maintain a winning speed for so long. In a long race
such as the Belmont,
positioning of the horse and the timing of the move to chase for
the lead can be critical.
Because of its distance and status as the race that can make or
break a Triple Crown champion,
the Belmont Stakes has been the venue for some of the most
famous moments in American racing.

For horse racing fans
following the triple crown, the Belmont stakes can be the
hardest race to handicap because of the longer track. The main
thing to consider, when picking choose a horse that has
proven it can go the distance. this means that you have to pay
closer attention to how a horse runs the races that occur
earlier in the season that resemble the Belmont. Look for the
horses that perform well in other 1 mile long races, as that is
the length of the Belmont. Over the years many horses have won
the first two races in the Triple Crown only to be defeated in
the Belmont Stakes.
