Belmont Stakes 140 Betting Odds - Bet Belmont Park Tack Odds
The 140th running of the Grade 1 Belmont Stakes will be held at Belmont Park on Saturday, June 7, with first-race post at noon. ABC-TV and ESPN will provide live coverage of the day’s events.

The third leg of the racing world's famed Triple Crown is the Belmont - run in Belmont Park in Elmont, NY. The race course is 1 1/2-mile, 12 furlongs, and it is a sand track. The field of three year old champions race for a place in history and there is no handicap. The best horse will win.

Belmont Stakes 140 Odds Here - Bet 2008 Belmont Track Horse Betting Here

The Belmont Stakes is called the "Run for the Carnations" because of the blanket of white
carnations that are draped over the winner's neck. This year's race was held on Saturday
June 9th, 2007 and won by Rags to Riches, the first filly to win the race since 1905 (and the third filly ever). Because of its length (one lap around the enormous Belmont main track) and because it is the final race of the Triple Crown, it is called the "Test of the Champion". Most three-year-olds are unaccustomed to the distance, and lack the experience, if not the ability, to maintain a winning speed for so long. In a long race such as the Belmont, positioning of the horse and the timing of the move to chase for the lead can be critical.

Because of its distance and status as the race that can make or break a Triple Crown champion, the Belmont Stakes has been the venue for some of the most famous moments in American racing. More 2008 Belmont Stakes 140 & Belmont Park Contenders

For horse racing fans following the triple crown, the belmont stakse can be the hardest race to handicap because of the longer track. The main thing to consider, when picking choose  a horse that has proven it can go the distance. this means that you have to pay closer attention to how a horse runs the races that occur earlier in the season that resemble the Belmont. Look for the horses that perform well in other 1 mile long races, as that is the length of the Belmont. Over the years many horses have won the first two races in the Triple Crown only to be defeated in the Belmont Stakes. Belmont Stakes Horse Results & Payouts

Preakness Stakes Horse Odds - Bet Triple Crown Horse Race online
Pimlico Race Course - May 17, 2008

The Preakness has had some memorable horse race winners with great photo finishes. Who could ever forget horses like Northern Dancer, Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Affirmed, Tabasco Cat, or Smarty Jones.

Pimlico Race Course is a horse racetrack in Baltimore, Maryland, most famous for hosting the Preakness Stakes.

The Preakness Stakes is a classic 1 3/16 mile (1.91 km) thoroughbred horse race for three-year-olds, held on the third Saturday in May of each year at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. Colts and geldings carry 126 pounds (57 kg); fillies 121 lb (55 kg). Like its preceding Triple Crown race, the Preakness Stakes have been termed "The Run for the Black-Eyed Susans" because a horseshoe of black-eyed susans is traditionally placed around the winner's neck. Big Brown charged to the lead turning for home and then cruised down the stretch to
win the Preakness on Saturday, still perfect and squarely pointed toward thoroughbred
racing's first Triple Crown in 30 years.

Big Brown might be the best horse this year in a middling field of 3-year-olds.
Or the colt could be remembered as one of the greatest of all time.

If he wins the Belmont Stakes in three weeks and claims racing's first Triple Crown in
30 years, Big Brown must be mentioned with racing royalty such as Secretariat and Affirmed. More Preakness Stakes Past winners
